Indian Stock Market Updates March 4, 2020

INOX LEISURE Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.7%

INOX LEISURE share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 388.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,842 (down 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are INOX LEISURE (down 5.5%) and TRENT LTD (down 5.4%).

BASF INDIA (up 8.3%) and SUN PHARMA ADV. RES. (up 6.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, INOX LEISURE has moved up from Rs 286 to Rs 388, registering a gain of Rs 102 (up 35.7%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,533 to 14,842, registering a gain of 309 points (up 2.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 324.5%), GUJARAT GAS (up 133.3%) and DEEPAK NITRITE (up 118.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,792 (down 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 4.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and ONGC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,357 (down 0.3%). SUN PHARMA (up 4.9%) and CIPLA (up 4.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,443 to 38,792, registering a gain of 2,349 points (up 5.3%).

INOX LEISURE Financial Update...

INOX LEISURE net profit down at Rs 350 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 365 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 18.4% to Rs 5.1 billion during the period as against Rs 4.3 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, INOX LEISURE reported 12.4% increase in net profit to Rs 1.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 25.5% to Rs 17 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of INOX LEISURE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 25.9x.
