VENKYS (I) LIMITED Plunges by 7%; BSE 500 Index Down 2.9%

VENKYS (I) LIMITED share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 1,100.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,386 (down 2.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are VENKYS (I) LIMITED (down 7.5%) and PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES (down 9.8%).

VARDHMAN TEXTILES (up 7.3%) and RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS (up 3.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, VENKYS (I) LIMITED has moved down from Rs 2,240 to Rs 1,100, registering a loss of Rs 1,140 (down 50.9%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,533 to 14,386, loss of 147 points (down 1.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 301.1%), GUJARAT GAS (up 129.8%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 114.1%).

The BSE Sensex is at 37,614 (down 2.7%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,982 (down 2.9%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,443 to 37,614, registering a gain of 1,171 points (up 2.7%).

VENKYS (I) LIMITED Financial Update...

VENKYS (I) LIMITED net profit down at Rs 59 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 677 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 8.4% to Rs 8.8 billion during the period as against Rs 8.1 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, VENKYS (I) LIMITED reported 12.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 1.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 13.3% to Rs 30 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VENKYS (I) LIMITED, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 15.0x.
