Indian Stock Market Updates March 9, 2020

KRBL Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 3.3%

KRBL share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 265.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,159 (down 3.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are KRBL (down 5.1%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA LTD (down 5.5%).

YES BANK (up 15.7%) and HPCL (up 8.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, KRBL has moved down from Rs 373 to Rs 265, registering a loss of Rs 108 (down 29.0%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,618 to 14,159, loss of 459 points (down 3.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 288.0%), NAVIN FLUORINE (up 122.6%) and GUJARAT GAS (up 118.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,950 (down 3.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ASIAN PAINTS (up 0.2%) and SUN PHARMA (up 0.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and ASIAN PAINTS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,752 (down 3.5%). YES BANK (up 14.9%) and BPCL (up 5.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,636 to 36,950, registering a gain of 314 points (up -1.2%).

KRBL Financial Update...

KRBL net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 42.0% to Rs 13.3 billion during the period as against Rs 9.4 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, KRBL reported 15.8% increase in net profit to Rs 5.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.3 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 26.9% to Rs 41 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of KRBL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.9x.
