V-MART RETAIL Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 4.4%

V-MART RETAIL share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 2,100.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,966 (down 4.4%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are V-MART RETAIL (down 5.7%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (down 8.1%).
RAJESH EXPORTS (up 8.2%) and LAKSHMI VILAS BANK (up 4.7%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, V-MART RETAIL has moved down from Rs 2,791 to Rs 2,100, registering a loss of Rs 691 (down 24.8%)..
The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,949 to 11,966, loss of 2,983 points (down 20.0%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 202.0%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 88.9%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 87.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 31,214 (down 4.8%).
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,133 (down 8.7%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,536 to 31,214, registering a loss of 6,322 points (down 16.84%).
V-MART RETAIL Financial Update...
V-MART RETAIL net profit stood at Rs 582 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 417 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 20.7% to Rs 5.6 billion during the period as against Rs 4.7 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, V-MART RETAIL reported 20.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 616.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 777.0 million during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 17.3% to Rs 14 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of V-MART RETAIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 63.9x.
