JSW STEEL Plunges by 5%; BSE METAL Index Down 3.5%

JSW STEEL share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 210.
Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 6,801 (down 3.5%).
Among the top losers in the BSE METAL Index today are JSW STEEL (down 5.2%) and JINDAL STEEL & POWER (down 5.9%).
HINDUSTAN ZINC (up 0.8%) is among the top gainer today.
Over the last one year, JSW STEEL has moved down from Rs 286 to Rs 210, registering a loss of Rs 76 (down 26.6%)..
The BSE METAL has moved down from 11,144 to 6,801, loss of 4,343 points (down 39.0%) during the last 12 months.

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 33,103 (down 4.7%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 0.7%) and TCS (up 0.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and TCS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,593 (down 4.3%). YES BANK (up 50.1%) and BPCL (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,752 to 33,103, registering a loss of 4,649 points (down 13.90%).
JSW STEEL Financial Update...
JSW STEEL net profit down at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 16 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 11.1% to Rs 180.6 billion during the period as against Rs 203.2 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, JSW STEEL reported 19.2% increase in net profit to Rs 75.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 63.4 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 15.8% to Rs 848 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of JSW STEEL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 30.1x.
