CEAT LTD. Surges by 11%; BSE 500 Index Down 2.9%

CEAT LTD. share price has zoomed 11% and is presently trading at Rs 748.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 10,948 (down 2.9%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are CEAT LTD. (up 11.2%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 14.7%).

SKF INDIA and IPCA LABS are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CEAT LTD. has moved down from Rs 1,085 to Rs 748, registering a loss of Rs 336 (down 32.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved down from 15,058 to 10,948, loss of 4,110 points (down 28.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 319.5%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 123.3%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 80.7%).

The BSE Sensex is at 29,227 (down 3.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 0.2%), NESTLE (up 0.1%) and HUL . Other gainer include TITAN . The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TITAN and HUL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 8,433 (down 2.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include CIPLA (up 2.2%), ITC (up 0.1%) and TCS (up 0.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,133 to 29,227, registering a loss of 8,906 points (down 24.45%).

CEAT LTD. Financial Update...

CEAT LTD. net profit stood at Rs 479 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 459 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.8% to Rs 17.6 billion during the period as against Rs 17.1 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, CEAT LTD. reported 12.9% increase in net profit to Rs 2.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.2% to Rs 70 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CEAT LTD., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 13.2x.
