Indian Stock Market Updates March 31, 2020

AIA ENGINEERING Plunges by 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.6%

AIA ENGINEERING share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,378.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 11,078 (up 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is AIA ENGINEERING (down 5.7%).

HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 5.6%) and SKF INDIA (up 4.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, AIA ENGINEERING has moved down from Rs 1,764 to Rs 1,378, registering a loss of Rs 386 (down 21.9%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,723 to 11,078, loss of 7,645 points (down 40.8%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 13.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 29,317 (up 1.7%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA STEEL (up 4.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are RELIANCE IND. and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 8,530 (up 1.7%). VEDANTA LTD (up 6.8%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,872 to 29,317, registering a loss of 9,555 points (down 25.58%).

AIA ENGINEERING Financial Update...

AIA ENGINEERING net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.5% to Rs 6.9 billion during the period as against Rs 7.3 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, AIA ENGINEERING reported 15.3% increase in net profit to Rs 5.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 24.4% to Rs 31 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of AIA ENGINEERING, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.5x.
