JINDAL SAW LTD Surges by 5%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.7%

JINDAL SAW LTD share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 56.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 6,470 (up 1.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE METAL Index today is JINDAL SAW LTD (up 5.2%).

JINDAL STEEL & POWER (down 0.9%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, JINDAL SAW LTD has moved down from Rs 86 to Rs 56, registering a loss of Rs 30 (down 34.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL has moved down from 11,725 to 6,470, loss of 5,255 points (down 45.4%) during the last 12 months.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,200 (up 2.2%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include UPL (up 9.5%), HINDALCO (up 5.1%) and SUN PHARMA (up 5.1%). Other gainers include BRITANNIA (up 4.9%) and HUL (up 4.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,906 to 31,400, registering a loss of 7,506 points (down 19.66%).

JINDAL SAW LTD Financial Update...

JINDAL SAW LTD net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 15.4% to Rs 27.0 billion during the period as against Rs 23.4 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, JINDAL SAW LTD reported 311.2% increase in net profit to Rs 4.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 968.0 million during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 41.5% to Rs 121 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JINDAL SAW LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 2.5x.
