In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,219 (up 2.5%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include UPL (up 11.5%), INDUSIND BANK (up 6.5%) and AXIS BANK (up 5.6%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 5.3%) and HUL (up 4.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,906 to 31,400, registering a loss of 7,506 points (down 19.38%).
AJANTA PHARMA net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 669 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 34.2% to Rs 6.5 billion during the period as against Rs 4.9 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, AJANTA PHARMA reported 17.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.7 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 3.5% to Rs 21 billion during FY19.
