The BSE POWER Index Down 2% ; ABB INDIA LTD. Among Top Losers

The BSE POWER has plunged 2% to 1,970.

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER Index today are ABB INDIA LTD. (down 0.00%), KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 0.22%) and NTPC (down 0.81%). Other losers include NHPC LTD (down 1.42%) and POWER GRID (down 1.80%).

In the meantime, the NIFTY 50 has plunges 0.71% to 10,786.

The top gainers in the NIFTY 50 include INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE LTD (down 0.26%), NTPC 7.36% 1B 5-10-25 BOND (down 0.27%) and KEI INDUSTRIES (down 0.34%). Other losers include ORIENT GREEN POWER (down 0.68%) and NTPC (down 1.22%).

Over the last one year, the BSE POWER has moved down from Rs 2,195 to Rs 1,970, loss of Rs 225 (down 12.10%).

The top losers among the BSE POWER sector during this same period were NTPC (down 2.32%), POWER GRID (down 8.36%) and TATA POWER (down 10.61%).

What about the Benchmark BSE Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has surged down 0.49% to 35,619.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are HDFC BANK (up 0.97%), SUN PHARMA (up 0.82%) and COAL INDIA (up 0.68%). Other gainers include TCS (up 0.55%) and ADANI PORTS & SEZ (up 0.40%).

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 10,786 (down 0.71%).
