VOLTAS Plunges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 5.0%

VOLTAS share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 503.
Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 12,037 (down 5.0%).
Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are VOLTAS (down 5.0%) and HAVELLS IND (down 6.6%).
Over the last one year, VOLTAS has moved down from Rs 603 to Rs 503, registering a loss of Rs 100 (down 16.6%)..
The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,031 to 12,037, loss of 5,994 points (down 33.2%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 15.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 32,748 (down 4.9%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,534 (down 5.0%). CIPLA (up 1.9%) and SUN PHARMA (up 1.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 39,032 to 32,748, registering a loss of 6,284 points (down 17.83%).
VOLTAS Financial Update...
VOLTAS net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 0.0% to Rs 14.9 billion during the period as against Rs 14.9 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, VOLTAS reported 0.7% increase in net profit to Rs 5.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.7 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 10.8% to Rs 71 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of VOLTAS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 27.8x.
