ESCORTS LIMITED share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 835.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 13,234 (down 1.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today is ESCORTS LIMITED (up 5.1%).

TATA MOTORS (down 0.5%) and BHARAT FORGE (down 1.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ESCORTS LIMITED has moved up from Rs 572 to Rs 835, registering a gain of Rs 263 (up 45.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO has moved down from 17,947 to 13,234, loss of 4,713 points (down 27.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (up 16.1%) and MRF LTD. (up 9.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 31,296 (down 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA STEEL (up 2.1%), BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.9%) and NTPC (up 1.7%). Other gainers include HUL (up 0.9%) and NESTLE (up 0.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and ONGC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,182 (down 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BPCL (up 4.0%), TATA STEEL (up 2.2%) and HINDALCO (up 2.0%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.9%) and NTPC (up 1.8%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,319 to 31,296, registering a loss of 6,023 points (down 17.24%).

ESCORTS LIMITED Financial Update...

ESCORTS LIMITED net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 1.3% to Rs 16.3 billion during the period as against Rs 16.6 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, ESCORTS LIMITED reported 33.7% increase in net profit to Rs 4.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.5 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 23.3% to Rs 63 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ESCORTS LIMITED, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 22.0x.
