BAJAJ FINSERV Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 3.0%

BAJAJ FINSERV share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 4,748.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,969 (down 3.0%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are BAJAJ FINSERV (down 5.0%) and INFO EDGE (down 7.6%).
GSK CONSUMER (up 5.1%) and RELIANCE POWER (up 4.8%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, BAJAJ FINSERV has moved down from Rs 7,465 to Rs 4,748, registering a loss of Rs 2,717 (down 36.4%)..
The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,498 to 11,969, loss of 2,529 points (down 17.4%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 503.6%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 138.5%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 123.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 31,248 (down 3.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 0.7%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 0.3%) and ITC (up 0.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and INFOSYS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,158 (down 3.0%). CIPLA (up 3.1%) and BHARTI INFRATEL (up 1.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,115 to 31,248, registering a loss of 5,867 points (down 18.80%).
BAJAJ FINSERV Financial Update...
BAJAJ FINSERV net profit stood at Rs 20 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 14 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 30.7% to Rs 145.6 billion during the period as against Rs 111.4 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, BAJAJ FINSERV reported 25.8% increase in net profit to Rs 43.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 34.5 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 34.4% to Rs 136 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of BAJAJ FINSERV, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.4x.
