BHARTI AIRTEL Surges by 10%; BSE 500 Index Up 1.7%

BHARTI AIRTEL share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 593.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,735 (up 1.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today is BHARTI AIRTEL (up 10.1%).

BERGER PAINTS and KALPATARU POWER are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BHARTI AIRTEL has moved up from Rs 340 to Rs 593, registering a gain of Rs 254 (up 74.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved down from 15,305 to 11,735, loss of 3,570 points (down 23.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 10.1%), ONGC (up 6.9%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 4.7%). Other gainers include TATA STEEL (up 4.4%) and ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 4.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and BHARTI AIRTEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,030 (up 2.0%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 9.9%), ONGC (up 6.7%) and JSW STEEL (up 5.6%). Other gainers include ADANI PORTS & SEZ (up 5.4%) and GRASIM (up 4.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 39,353 to 30,740, registering a loss of 8,613 points (down 22.18%).

BHARTI AIRTEL Financial Update...

BHARTI AIRTEL net profit down at Rs 6 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 7.0% to Rs 219.5 billion during the period as against Rs 205.2 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, BHARTI AIRTEL reported 21.3% increase in net profit to Rs 14.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 12.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 3.1% to Rs 68 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BHARTI AIRTEL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 9.2x.
