The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ONGC (up 3.9%), L&T (up 2.8%) and HDFC BANK (up 2.2%). Other gainers include TATA STEEL (up 2.1%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ICICI BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,392 (up 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include L&T (up 2.7%), TATA STEEL (up 2.6%) and ONGC (up 2.6%). Other gainers include GAIL (up 2.5%) and HDFC BANK (up 2.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 39,683 to 31,859, registering a loss of 7,824 points (down 19.80%).
E.I.D. PARRY net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 9.9% to Rs 40.8 billion during the period as against Rs 37.1 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, E.I.D. PARRY reported 15.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 4.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.2 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 7.3% to Rs 166 billion during FY19.
