BALRAMPUR CHINI Share Price Down by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.7%

BALRAMPUR CHINI share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 137.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 13,099 (down 0.7%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are BALRAMPUR CHINI (down 5.3%) and SHILPA MEDICARE (down 7.1%).
MOIL (up 8.8%) and TV18 BROADCAST (up 5.9%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, BALRAMPUR CHINI has moved down from Rs 148 to Rs 137, registering a loss of Rs 11 (down 7.7%)..
The BSE 500 has moved down from 15,106 to 13,099, loss of 2,007 points (down 13.3%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 739.7%), DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 142.4%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 115.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 34,022 (down 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC BANK and INFOSYS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,046 (down 0.6%). INFOSYS (up 1.9%) and UPL (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,961 to 34,022, registering a loss of 4,939 points (down 15.16%).
BALRAMPUR CHINI Financial Update...
BALRAMPUR CHINI net profit down at Rs 700 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 27.1% to Rs 12.0 billion during the period as against Rs 9.4 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, BALRAMPUR CHINI reported 157.2% increase in net profit to Rs 5.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.2 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 2.6% to Rs 43 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of BALRAMPUR CHINI, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 5.2x.
