POWER GRID Share Price Down by 6%; BSE POWER Index Down 2.8%

POWER GRID share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 188.
Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,678 (down 2.8%).
Among the top losers in the BSE POWER Index today is POWER GRID (down 5.5%).
RELIANCE INFRA (up 4.9%) and BHEL (up 4.3%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, POWER GRID has moved down from Rs 199 to Rs 188, registering a loss of Rs 11 (down 5.3%)..
The BSE POWER has moved down from 2,024 to 1,678, loss of 346 points (down 17.1%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were GMR INFRA (up 34.7%), TORRENT POWER LTD (up 33.8%) and ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 13.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 35,707 (down 1.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ASIAN PAINTS (up 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and RELIANCE IND..
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,553 (down 1.6%). ASIAN PAINTS (up 3.8%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 39,123 to 35,707, registering a loss of 3,416 points (down 10.89%).
POWER GRID Financial Update...
POWER GRID net profit down at Rs 22 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 23 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 7.9% to Rs 97.0 billion during the period as against Rs 89.9 billion in January-March 2019.
For the year ended March 2019, POWER GRID reported 163.2% increase in net profit to Rs 125.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 47.7 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 17.0% to Rs 351 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of POWER GRID, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.2x.
