M&M at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 1.0%

M&M share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 623 (up 4.7%).
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,524 (up 1.4%).
Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are M&M (up 4.7%) and THYROCARE TECHNOLOGIES (up 14.5%).
MAHARASHTRA SEAMLESS (down 6.9%) and ASHOKA BUILDCON (down 6.2%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, M&M has moved up from Rs 553 to Rs 623, registering a gain of Rs 70 (up 12.44%).
The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,424 to 14,524, registering a gain of 100 points (up 0.6%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ESCORTS LIMITED (up 146.2%), ICICI SECURITIES LTD (up 125.7%) and LAURUS LABS LTD (up 123.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 38,555 (up 1.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 7.1%), TCS (up 5.0%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 4.9%). Other gainers include M&M (up 4.7%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 4.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and AXIS BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,318 (up 1.5%). ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 7.0%) and TCS (up 4.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,686 to 38,555, registering a gain of 869 points (up 2.2%).
M&M Financial Update...
M&M net profit down at Rs 25 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 25.9% to Rs 91.4 billion during the period as against Rs 123.5 billion in January-March 2019.
For the year ended March 2019, M&M reported 4.8% increase in net profit to Rs 44.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 42.2 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 12.3% to Rs 1,047 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of M&M, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 50.8x.
