Indian Stock Market Updates July 29, 2020

DR. REDDYS LAB Share Price Up by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 1.8%

DR. REDDYS LAB share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 4,257.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 17,293 (up 1.8%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are DR. REDDYS LAB (up 5.0%) and JUBILANT LIFE SCIENCES (up 5.5%).

FORTIS HEALTHCARE (down 0.2%) and ABBOTT INDIA (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, DR. REDDYS LAB has moved up from Rs 2,653 to Rs 4,257, registering a gain of Rs 1,605 (up 60.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 12,797 to 17,293, registering a gain of 4,496 points (up 35.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were GRANULES INDIA (up 213.9%), LAURUS LABS LTD (up 123.6%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 94.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,617 (down 0.9%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 5.8%), TATA STEEL (up 4.1%) and SUN PHARMA (up 2.0%). Other gainers include L&T (up 1.9%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and INDUSIND BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,341 (down 0.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include INDUSIND BANK (up 5.8%), DR. REDDYS LAB (up 5.3%) and TATA STEEL (up 4.0%). Other gainers include GRASIM (up 4.0%) and BHARTI INFRATEL (up 3.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,686 to 38,617, registering a gain of 931 points (up 1.27%).

DR. REDDYS LAB Financial Update...

DR. REDDYS LAB net profit declined 238.6% YoY to Rs 8 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 6 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 1.2% to Rs 44.5 billion during the period as against Rs 44.0 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, DR. REDDYS LAB reported 108.9% increase in net profit to Rs 19.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 9.1 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.2% to Rs 154 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of DR. REDDYS LAB, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 35.9x.
