Indian Stock Market Updates August 14, 2020

SIEMENS Share Price Up by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.3%

SIEMENS share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,239.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 14,109 (up 1.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is SIEMENS (up 5.1%).

LAKSHMI MACHINE (down 0.7%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (down 1.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SIEMENS has moved up from Rs 1,142 to Rs 1,239, registering a gain of Rs 97 (up 8.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 16,748 to 14,109, loss of 2,639 points (down 16.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS (up 109.7%), HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 35.1%) and BHARAT ELECTRONICS (up 23.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,541 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 2.0%), L&T (up 1.7%) and NTPC (up 1.1%). Other gainers include ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.0%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and TATA STEEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,361 (up 0.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include CIPLA (up 2.2%), SUN PHARMA (up 2.0%) and L&T (up 1.7%). Other gainers include SHREE CEMENT (up 1.1%) and NTPC (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,958 to 38,541, registering a gain of 1,583 points (up 3.97%).

SIEMENS Financial Update...

SIEMENS net profit down at Rs 46 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 50.6% to Rs 13.2 billion during the period as against Rs 26.7 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended September 2019, SIEMENS reported 22.0% increase in net profit to Rs 11.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 9.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 7.6% to Rs 138 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SIEMENS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 58.0x.
