ASTRAZENECA PHARMA Share Price Up by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.3%

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 4,536.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 20,639 (up 0.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today is ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (up 5.2%).

GLENMARK PHARMA (down 0.1%) and ERIS LIFESCIENCES LIMITED (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ASTRAZENECA PHARMA has moved up from Rs 2,012 to Rs 4,536, registering a gain of Rs 2,524 (up 124.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 12,848 to 20,639, registering a gain of 7,791 points (up 59.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS LTD (up 345.6%), GRANULES INDIA (up 255.0%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 185.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,940 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.3%), TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.4%) and INFOSYS (up 2.1%). Other gainers include TCS (up 2.0%) and M&M (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HCL TECHNOLOGIES and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,531 (up 0.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.1%), TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.3%) and INFOSYS (up 2.3%). Other gainers include WIPRO (up 2.1%) and TCS (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,481 to 38,940, registering a gain of 2,459 points (up 6.66%).

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA Financial Update...

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA net profit down at Rs 96 million for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 267 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 12.9% to Rs 1.9 billion during the period as against Rs 2.2 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, ASTRAZENECA PHARMA reported 29.2% increase in net profit to Rs 259.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 200.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 4.3% to Rs 6 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ASTRAZENECA PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 156.6x.
