GLENMARK PHARMA Share Price Down by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 2.3%

GLENMARK PHARMA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 514.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 20,639 (down 2.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today is GLENMARK PHARMA (down 5.0%).

APOLLO HOSPITALS (up 1.3%) and ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (up 1.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GLENMARK PHARMA has moved up from Rs 370 to Rs 514, registering a gain of Rs 143 (up 38.7%)..

The BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 12,848 to 20,639, registering a gain of 7,791 points (up 60.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS LTD (up 330.7%), GRANULES INDIA (up 247.8%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 181.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,991 (down 0.8%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HCL TECHNOLOGIES and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,535 (down 1.0%). KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 2.1%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,481 to 38,991, registering a gain of 2,510 points (up 5.67%).

GLENMARK PHARMA Financial Update...

GLENMARK PHARMA net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 14.3% to Rs 23.4 billion during the period as against Rs 27.4 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, GLENMARK PHARMA reported 5.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 7.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.4% to Rs 99 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GLENMARK PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.8x.
