FEDERAL BANK Share Price Up by 5%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 3.4%

FEDERAL BANK share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 50.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 24,649 (up 3.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today are FEDERAL BANK (up 5.0%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 8.6%).

Over the last one year, FEDERAL BANK has moved down from Rs 94 to Rs 50, registering a loss of Rs 44 (down 46.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved down from 34,045 to 24,649, loss of 9,396 points (down 27.7%) during the last 12 months.

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 37,984 (up 1.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 8.6%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 6.2%) and ONGC (up 5.5%). Other gainers include AXIS BANK (up 5.3%) and ICICI BANK (up 4.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,234 (up 1.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include INDUSIND BANK (up 8.9%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 6.4%) and ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 5.4%). Other gainers include ONGC (up 5.4%) and AXIS BANK (up 5.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 39,097 to 37,984, registering a loss of 1,113 points (down 2.88%).

FEDERAL BANK Financial Update...

FEDERAL BANK net profit down at Rs 4 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Operating income rose 3.4% to Rs 34.4 billion during the period as against Rs 33.3 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, FEDERAL BANK reported 6.6% increase in net profit to Rs 9.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.5 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 12.9% to Rs 99 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of FEDERAL BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 6.3x.
