INFOSYS Share Price Up by 5%; BSE IT Index Up 5.0%

INFOSYS share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,124.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 22,360 (up 5.0%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE IT Index today are INFOSYS (up 5.3%) and L&T INFOTECH LTD (up 8.6%).

Over the last one year, INFOSYS has moved up from Rs 790 to Rs 1,124, registering a gain of Rs 334 (up 42.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT has moved up from 15,382 to 22,360, registering a gain of 6,978 points (up 44.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 128.6%), INFIBEAM AVENUES (up 117.9%) and MINDTREE (up 109.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,469 (up 1.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 5.3%), TCS (up 4.9%) and HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.7%). Other gainers include TECH MAHINDRA (up 4.3%) and HDFC BANK (up 2.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and INDUSIND BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,896 (up 1.2%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include WIPRO (up 9.1%), TCS (up 5.0%) and INFOSYS (up 4.9%). Other gainers include HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.7%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 4.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,532 to 40,469, registering a gain of 2,937 points (up 7.64%).

INFOSYS Financial Update...

INFOSYS net profit down at Rs 43 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 45 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.5% to Rs 236.7 billion during the period as against Rs 230.9 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, INFOSYS reported 8.0% increase in net profit to Rs 166.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 154.1 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 9.8% to Rs 908 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of INFOSYS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 27.8x.
