GLENMARK PHARMA Share Price Up by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 1.2%

GLENMARK PHARMA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 500.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 19,923 (up 1.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today is GLENMARK PHARMA (up 5.1%).

AJANTA PHARMA (down 0.1%) and PFIZER (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GLENMARK PHARMA has moved up from Rs 280 to Rs 500, registering a gain of Rs 219 (up 78.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 12,258 to 19,923, registering a gain of 7,665 points (up 62.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 402.6%), GRANULES INDIA (up 283.4%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 189.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,126 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA STEEL (up 5.2%), POWER GRID (up 3.5%) and HDFC BANK (up 2.5%). Other gainers include ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.3%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,790 (up 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include JSW STEEL (up 6.0%), TATA STEEL (up 4.9%) and BPCL (up 4.6%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 3.0%) and SHREE CEMENT (up 2.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 38,214 to 40,126, registering a gain of 1,912 points (up 4.71%).

GLENMARK PHARMA Financial Update...

GLENMARK PHARMA net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 14.3% to Rs 23.4 billion during the period as against Rs 27.4 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, GLENMARK PHARMA reported 5.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 7.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.4% to Rs 99 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GLENMARK PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 15.3x.
