BANK OF MAHARASHTRA Share Price Up by 11%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 2.8%

BANK OF MAHARASHTRA share price has zoomed 11% and is presently trading at Rs 13.
Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 27,465 (up 2.8%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is BANK OF MAHARASHTRA (up 10.7%).
Over the last one year, BANK OF MAHARASHTRA has moved up from Rs 9 to Rs 13, registering a gain of Rs 3 (up 31.1%).
On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved down from 32,270 to 27,465, loss of 4,805 points (down 15.0%) during the last 12 months.

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 40,519 (up 0.9%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ICICI BANK (up 4.7%), AXIS BANK (up 4.2%) and ONGC (up 3.8%). Other gainers include NESTLE (up 3.6%) and SBI (up 3.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ITC.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,898 (up 0.8%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ICICI BANK (up 5.0%), AXIS BANK (up 4.5%) and ONGC (up 3.6%). Other gainers include SBI (up 3.5%) and NESTLE (up 3.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 38,506 to 40,519, registering a gain of 2,013 points (up 4.82%).
BANK OF MAHARASHTRA Financial Update...
BANK OF MAHARASHTRA net profit down at Rs 576 million for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Operating income declined 7.0% to Rs 28.1 billion during the period as against Rs 30.2 billion in January-March 2019.
For the year ended March 2019, BANK OF MAHARASHTRA reported 328.3% increase in net profit to Rs 47.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.1 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 2.2% to Rs 108 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of BANK OF MAHARASHTRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 8.7x.
