RELIANCE POWER Share Price Up by 6%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.1%

RELIANCE POWER share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 3.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,727 .

Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is RELIANCE POWER (up 5.7%).

KALPATARU POWER (down 0.2%) and POWER GRID (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, RELIANCE POWER has moved down from Rs 3 to Rs 3, registering a loss of Rs 0 (down 9.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER has moved down from 1,966 to 1,727, loss of 239 points (down 12.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were KEC INTERNATIONAL (up 21.1%), GMR INFRA (up 19.0%) and TORRENT POWER (up 9.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,011 (down 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ASIAN PAINTS (up 3.1%), ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.1%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 1.5%). Other gainers include TCS (up 0.9%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and HCL TECHNOLOGIES.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,744 (down 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ASIAN PAINTS (up 2.7%), ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 1.8%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 1.5%). Other gainers include TCS (up 0.9%) and SHREE CEMENT (up 0.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 39,250 to 40,011, registering a gain of 761 points (up 1.27%).

RELIANCE POWER Financial Update...

RELIANCE POWER net profit down at Rs 44 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 484 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 7.7% to Rs 18.0 billion during the period as against Rs 16.7 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE POWER reported 6.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 10.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 5.3% to Rs 98 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.2x.
