Indian Stock Market Updates November 3, 2020

JINDAL STEEL & POWER Share Price Up by 5%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.7%

JINDAL STEEL & POWER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 201.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 8,341 (up 1.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE METAL Index today is JINDAL STEEL & POWER (up 5.3%).

Over the last one year, JINDAL STEEL & POWER has moved up from Rs 115 to Rs 201, registering a gain of Rs 86 (up 74.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL has moved down from 9,353 to 8,341, loss of 1,012 points (down 10.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE METAL Index stocks during this same period were JINDAL STEEL & POWER (up 74.5%), JSW STEEL (up 33.4%) and TATA STEEL (up 5.5%).

The BSE Sensex is at 40,284 (up 1.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ICICI BANK (up 3.9%), INDUSIND BANK (up 3.1%) and SBI (up 3.0%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 2.5%) and HDFC (up 2.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,820 (up 1.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ICICI BANK (up 3.9%), EICHER MOTOR (up 3.5%) and HINDALCO (up 3.2%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 3.1%) and SBI (up 3.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,052 to 40,284, registering a gain of 232 points (up 0.55%).

JINDAL STEEL & POWER Financial Update...

JINDAL STEEL & POWER net profit declined 239.8% YoY to Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 5.3% to Rs 88.1 billion during the period as against Rs 93.0 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, JINDAL STEEL & POWER reported 10.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 9.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 39.0% to Rs 395 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JINDAL STEEL & POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 48.6x.
