RBL BANK Share Price Up by 6%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 0.1%

RBL BANK share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 196.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 30,240 (up 0.1%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is RBL BANK (up 5.6%).

YES BANK (down 0.1%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, RBL BANK has moved down from Rs 310 to Rs 196, registering a loss of Rs 113 (down 36.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved down from 34,219 to 30,240, loss of 3,979 points (down 11.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 6.0%) and HDFC BANK (up 2.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,613 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are RELIANCE IND. (up 2.6%), M&M (up 2.3%) and TITAN (up 1.8%). Other gainers include BAJAJ AUTO (up 1.6%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,202 (up 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include RELIANCE IND. (up 2.7%), TATA MOTORS (up 2.3%) and M&M (up 2.1%). Other gainers include UPL (up 1.7%) and BAJAJ AUTO (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,302 to 41,613, registering a gain of 1,311 points (up 3.22%).

RBL BANK Financial Update...

RBL BANK net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 700 million a year ago. Operating income rose 2.4% to Rs 22.1 billion during the period as against Rs 21.6 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, RBL BANK reported 33.3% increase in net profit to Rs 8.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 6.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 38.2% to Rs 63 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RBL BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 16.6x.
