SPICEJET Share Price Up by 11%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.2%

SPICEJET share price has zoomed 11% and is presently trading at Rs 65.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 16,751 (up 0.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are SPICEJET (up 10.6%) and WABCO INDIA (up 10.5%).

CEAT. and SUN PHARMA ADV. RES. are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SPICEJET has moved down from Rs 107 to Rs 65, registering a loss of Rs 42 (down 38.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved up from 15,313 to 16,751, registering a gain of 1,438 points (up 9.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 1026.4%), LAURUS LABS (up 282.3%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 215.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 44,052 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are M&M (up 10.5%), L&T (up 5.2%) and BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.6%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 3.2%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and M&M.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,902 . The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include M&M (up 10.2%), TATA MOTORS (up 9.2%) and L&T (up 5.4%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.7%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 3.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,286 to 44,052, registering a gain of 3,766 points (up 9.11%).

SPICEJET Financial Update...

SPICEJET net profit down at Rs 8 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 732 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 21.5% to Rs 28.6 billion during the period as against Rs 36.5 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, SPICEJET reported 142.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.6 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 91 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SPICEJET, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 4.2x.
