SPICEJET Share Price Up by 13%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.2%

SPICEJET share price has zoomed 13% and is presently trading at Rs 75.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 16,772 (down 0.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today is SPICEJET (up 12.7%).

E.I.D. PARRY and VA TECH WABAG are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SPICEJET has moved down from Rs 106 to Rs 75, registering a loss of Rs 31 (down 29.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved up from 15,341 to 16,772, registering a gain of 1,431 points (up 9.3%) during the last 12 months.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,284 to 44,004, registering a gain of 3,720 points (up 9.18%).

SPICEJET Financial Update...

SPICEJET net profit down at Rs 8 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 732 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 21.5% to Rs 28.6 billion during the period as against Rs 36.5 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, SPICEJET reported 142.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.6 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 91 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SPICEJET, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 4.8x.
