ADANI POWER Share Price Down by 5%; BSE POWER Index Down 0.9%

ADANI POWER share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 58.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 2,099 (down 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER Index today is ADANI POWER (down 5.5%).

RELIANCE INFRA (up 8.6%) and POWER GRID (up 0.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, ADANI POWER has moved down from Rs 62 to Rs 58, registering a loss of Rs 4 (down 6.4%)..

The BSE POWER has moved up from 1,899 to 2,099, registering a gain of 200 points (up 10.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were KEC INTERNATIONAL (up 37.4%), ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 29.7%) and TATA POWER (up 27.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 45,729 (down 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are INFOSYS and RELIANCE IND..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 13,435 (down 0.2%). ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.5%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,850 to 45,729, registering a gain of 4,879 points (up 11.13%).

ADANI POWER Financial Update...

ADANI POWER net profit declined 417.2% YoY to Rs 22 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 7 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 17.9% to Rs 77.5 billion during the period as against Rs 65.7 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, ADANI POWER reported 0.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 20.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 21.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 8.9% to Rs 206 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ADANI POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 44.1x.
