VA TECH WABAG Share Price Up by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.6%

VA TECH WABAG share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 224.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 18,521 (up 1.6%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is VA TECH WABAG (up 5.4%).

BHARAT ELECTRONICS (down 0.2%) and LAKSHMI MACHINE (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, VA TECH WABAG has moved up from Rs 175 to Rs 224, registering a gain of Rs 49 (up 27.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 16,989 to 18,521, registering a gain of 1,532 points (up 8.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were LAKSHMI MACHINE (up 44.8%), HAVELLS IND (up 38.7%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 20.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 46,694 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HDFC (up 3.4%), TITAN (up 2.4%) and L&T (up 2.2%). Other gainers include ONGC (up 2.0%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are POWER GRID and ONGC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 13,688 (up 0.8%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include HDFC (up 3.5%), DIVIS LABORATORIES (up 2.3%) and TITAN (up 2.3%). Other gainers include L&T (up 2.3%) and TATA MOTORS (up 2.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,939 to 46,694, registering a gain of 5,755 points (up 13.91%).

VA TECH WABAG Financial Update...

VA TECH WABAG net profit stood at Rs 311 million for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 282 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 15.5% to Rs 7.9 billion during the period as against Rs 6.8 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, VA TECH WABAG reported 40.6% decrease in net profit to Rs 859.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 1.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 19.6% to Rs 28 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VA TECH WABAG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.8x.
