Indian Stock Market Updates December 22, 2020

HCL TECHNOLOGIES Share Price Up by 5%; BSE IT Index Up 3.5%

HCL TECHNOLOGIES share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 915.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 23,632 (up 3.5%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE IT Index today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 5.2%) and L&T INFOTECH (up 5.4%).

ORACLE FINANCIAL (down 0.2%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, HCL TECHNOLOGIES has moved up from Rs 565 to Rs 915, registering a gain of Rs 350 (up 62.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT has moved up from 15,440 to 23,632, registering a gain of 8,192 points (up 53.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were L&T INFOTECH (up 117.3%), INTELLECT DESIGN (up 100.5%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 98.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 46,066 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 5.2%), TECH MAHINDRA (up 4.3%) and INFOSYS (up 3.9%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 2.9%) and POWER GRID (up 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 13,485 (up 1.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ADANI PORTS & SEZ (up 5.7%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 5.1%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 4.1%). Other gainers include INFOSYS (up 3.7%) and GAIL (up 3.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,352 to 46,066, registering a gain of 4,714 points (up 11.39%).

HCL TECHNOLOGIES Financial Update...

HCL TECHNOLOGIES net profit stood at Rs 31 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 29 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.5% to Rs 185.9 billion during the period as against Rs 181.4 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, HCL TECHNOLOGIES reported 16.2% increase in net profit to Rs 101.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 87.1 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 19.5% to Rs 604 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HCL TECHNOLOGIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.2x.
