Indian Stock Market Updates December 23, 2020

TATA ELXSI Share Price Up by 5%; BSE IT Index Up 2.4%

TATA ELXSI share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,736.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 24,167 (up 2.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE IT Index today are TATA ELXSI (up 5.1%) and MINDTREE (up 5.4%).

ORACLE FINANCIAL is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, TATA ELXSI has moved up from Rs 856 to Rs 1,736, registering a gain of Rs 881 (up 102.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT has moved up from 15,710 to 24,167, registering a gain of 8,457 points (up 53.8%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 112.6%), INTELLECT DESIGN (up 111.5%) and L&T INFOTECH (up 109.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 46,342 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 2.6%), M&M (up 2.4%) and SBI (up 2.1%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 2.0%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 13,569 (up 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include WIPRO (up 4.8%), INFOSYS (up 2.8%) and CIPLA (up 2.8%). Other gainers include M&M (up 2.4%) and SBI (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,643 to 46,342, registering a gain of 4,699 points (up 11.21%).

TATA ELXSI Financial Update...

TATA ELXSI net profit stood at Rs 789 million for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 754 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 1.6% to Rs 4.3 billion during the period as against Rs 4.2 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, TATA ELXSI reported 37.3% increase in net profit to Rs 2.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.7 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 12.0% to Rs 14 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA ELXSI, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 35.4x.
