Indian Stock Market Updates January 11, 2021

BAJAJ AUTO at All Time High; BSE AUTO Index Up 0.6%

BAJAJ AUTO share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 3,571 (up 0.4%).

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 22,212 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 0.4%) and MRF (up 1.6%).

CUMMINS INDIA (down 0.3%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BAJAJ AUTO has moved up from Rs 3,037 to Rs 3,571, registering a gain of Rs 533 (up 16.7%).

The BSE AUTO has moved up from 17,895 to 22,212, registering a gain of 4,317 points (up 23.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (up 79.4%), M&M (up 47.5%) and ASHOK LEYLAND (up 40.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,260 (up 0.8%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 3.7%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 3.3%) and HDFC BANK (up 1.8%). Other gainers include ITC (up 1.6%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and BHARTI AIRTEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,474 (up 0.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include INFOSYS (up 3.1%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.8%) and TATA MOTORS (up 2.8%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.2%) and WIPRO (up 2.0%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,677 to 49,260, registering a gain of 8,583 points (up 20.9%).

BAJAJ AUTO Financial Update...

BAJAJ AUTO net profit down at Rs 11 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 13 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 7.8% to Rs 70.4 billion during the period as against Rs 76.4 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, BAJAJ AUTO reported 13.7% increase in net profit to Rs 52.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 45.9 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 1.4% to Rs 299 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BAJAJ AUTO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 24.8x.
