Indian Stock Market Updates January 13, 2021

SOBHA at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 1.0%

SOBHA share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 495 (up 2.6%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 19,292 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are SOBHA (up 2.6%) and J&K BANK (up 9.9%).

SUZLON ENERGY (down 4.9%) and CORPORATION BANK (down 3.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SOBHA has moved up from Rs 444 to Rs 495, registering a gain of Rs 52 (up 10.47%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,942 to 19,292, registering a gain of 3,350 points (up 20.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 335.2%), GRANULES INDIA (up 176.2%) and DEEPAK NITRITE (up 163.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,795 (up 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 5.6%), ONGC (up 3.7%) and SBI (up 2.4%). Other gainers include M&M (up 2.2%) and NTPC (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ONGC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,653 (up 0.5%). BHARTI AIRTEL (up 5.9%) and BPCL (up 5.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,860 to 49,795, registering a gain of 7,935 points (up 18.8%).

SOBHA Financial Update...

SOBHA net profit down at Rs 66 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 732 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 60.4% to Rs 3.5 billion during the period as against Rs 8.8 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, SOBHA reported 36.9% increase in net profit to Rs 3.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 23.5% to Rs 34 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SOBHA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 23.5x.

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are SIEMENS (up 1.7%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 1.9%). The top losers include HAVELLS INDIA (down 0.2%) and GRAPHITE INDIA (down 0.2%).
