IDFC FIRST BANK Share Price Up by 6%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 1.7%

IDFC FIRST BANK share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 49.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 36,639 (up 1.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is IDFC FIRST BANK (up 5.8%).

Over the last one year, IDFC FIRST BANK has moved up from Rs 45 to Rs 49, registering a gain of Rs 4 (up 9.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved up from 36,283 to 36,639, registering a gain of 356 points (up 1.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were HDFC BANK (up 16.8%), KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 12.1%) and ICICI BANK (up 1.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,398 (up 1.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ FINSERV (up 6.8%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 5.4%) and HDFC (up 3.8%). Other gainers include NTPC (up 2.8%) and L&T (up 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,538 (up 1.8%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BAJAJ FINSERV (up 6.8%), TATA MOTORS (up 5.7%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 5.2%). Other gainers include HDFC (up 4.2%) and GRASIM (up 3.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,873 to 49,398, registering a gain of 7,525 points (up 17.96%).

IDFC FIRST BANK Financial Update...

IDFC FIRST BANK net profit declined 105.7% YoY to Rs 935 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 16 billion a year ago. Operating income declined 6.6% to Rs 38.3 billion during the period as against Rs 41.0 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, IDFC FIRST BANK reported 51.2% increase in net profit to Rs 28.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 18.8 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 33.1% to Rs 162 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of IDFC FIRST BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 11.0x.
