CYIENT Share Price Down by 5%; BSE IT Index Up 0.1%

CYIENT share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 638.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 26,553 (up 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE IT Index today is CYIENT (down 5.0%).

ECLERX SERVICES (up 0.8%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 0.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, CYIENT has moved up from Rs 462 to Rs 638, registering a gain of Rs 176 (up 38.2%)..

The BSE IT has moved up from 15,925 to 26,553, registering a gain of 10,628 points (up 66.7%) during the last 12 months.

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,263 (up 0.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 3.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,491 (up 0.2%). GRASIM (up 4.1%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

CYIENT Financial Update...

CYIENT net profit down at Rs 839 million for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 9.3% to Rs 10.0 billion during the period as against Rs 11.1 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, CYIENT reported 28.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.8 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 4.1% to Rs 44 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CYIENT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.0x.
