Indian Stock Market Updates May 7, 2018

M&M at All Time High; BSE 500 Index Up 0.8%

M&M share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 888 (up 3.89%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,932 (up 0.78%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are M&M (up 3.89%) and MRF LTD. (up 0.60%)

HSIL LTD (down 0.01%) and BALMER LAWRIE (down 0.02%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, M&M has moved up from Rs 668 to Rs 888, registering a gain of Rs 220 (up 32.93%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,062 to 14,932, registering a gain of 1,870 points (up 14.22%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 870.67%), GRAPHITE INDIA (up 502.24%) and INDIABULLS VENTURES (up 344.23%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 35,260 (up 0.84%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are M&M (up 3.89%), ICICI BANK (up 3.11%) and AXIS BANK (up 2.98%). Other gainers include TATA STEEL (up 2.36%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 2.11%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are POWER GRID and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,726 (up 0.98%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include GAIL (up 4.32%), M&M (up 3.77%) and ICICI BANK (up 3.55%). Other gainers include AXIS BANK (up 3.04%) and HINDALCO (up 2.79%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 30,126 to 35,260, registering a gain of 5,134 points (up 16.87%).
