FEDERAL BANK Plunges by 5%; BSE BANKEX Up 0.5%

FEDERAL BANK share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 86.
Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 32,081 (up 0.5%).
Among the top losers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is FEDERAL BANK (down 5.2%).
YES BANK (up 2.3%) and SBI (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, FEDERAL BANK has moved down from Rs 110 to Rs 86, registering a loss of Rs 24 (down 21.4%)..
The BSE BANKEX has moved up from 27,378 to 32,081, registering a gain of 4,703 points (up 17.2%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were KOTAK MAH. BANK (up 28.0%), AXIS BANK (up 26.2%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 22.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 38,241 (up 0.7%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are L&T (up 5.1%), ONGC (up 2.7%) and TATA MOTORS (up 2.3%). Other gainers include YES BANK (up 2.3%) and COAL INDIA (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and SBI.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,543 (up 0.6%). L&T (up 5.0%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,795 to 38,241, registering a gain of 6,446 points (up 20.2%).
FEDERAL BANK Financial Update...
FEDERAL BANK net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Operating income rose 6.6% to Rs 26.7 billion during the period as against Rs 25.0 billion in April-June 2017.
For the year ended March 2018, FEDERAL BANK reported 6.6% increase in net profit to Rs 9.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.5 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 12.9% to Rs 99 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of FEDERAL BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.3x.
