Indian Stock Market Updates August 29, 2018

JINDAL STAINLESS Surges by 6%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.4%

JINDAL STAINLESS share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 66.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 13,846 (up 1.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE METAL Index today is JINDAL STAINLESS (up 5.7%).

HINDUSTAN ZINC (down 0.2%) and NMDC LTD (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, JINDAL STAINLESS has moved down from Rs 95 to Rs 66, registering a loss of Rs 28 (down 30.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL has moved up from 13,094 to 13,846, registering a gain of 752 points (up 5.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL Index stocks during this same period were JINDAL STEEL & POWER (up 59.7%), JSW STEEL (up 56.3%) and SAIL (up 28.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,990 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are VEDANTA LTD (up 2.4%), ONGC (up 2.1%) and SBI (up 1.2%). Other gainers include TATA STEEL (up 1.0%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are VEDANTA LTD and YES BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,753 . UPL LIMITED (up 3.0%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,751 to 38,990, registering a gain of 7,239 points (up 22.6%).
