WOCKHARDT LTD. Surges by 7%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 2.0%

WOCKHARDT LTD. share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 673.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 16,246 (up 2.0%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are WOCKHARDT LTD. (up 7.3%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 10.0%).

SANOFI INDIA (down 0.1%) and DR. LAL PATHLABS LTD (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, WOCKHARDT LTD. has moved up from Rs 618 to Rs 673, registering a gain of Rs 55 (up 8.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 13,350 to 16,246, registering a gain of 2,896 points (up 21.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were ABBOTT INDIA (up 101.7%), BIOCON LTD (up 94.5%) and PFIZER (up 92.8%).

The BSE Sensex is at 38,086 (up 1.0%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are VEDANTA LTD (up 5.1%), POWER GRID (up 3.6%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 3.0%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 2.9%) and YES BANK (up 2.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC LTD and YES BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,523 (up 1.3%). INDIABULLS HOU. FIN. (up 6.8%) and BPCL (up 5.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 32,159 to 38,086, registering a gain of 5,927 points (up 18.4%).

WOCKHARDT LTD. Financial Update...

WOCKHARDT LTD. net profit down at Rs 862 million for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 426 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 0.2% to Rs 10.1 billion during the period as against Rs 10.1 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, WOCKHARDT LTD. reported 36.6% increase in net profit to Rs 3.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.3 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 1.9% to Rs 39 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WOCKHARDT LTD., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 25.8x.
