Some of our readers are a confused lot these days. And they have let it known to us in clear words.

On the one hand, we are exuding confidence about the possibility of a significant rise in the index. And on the other are stories about how a big collapse is just a matter of time.

Aren't these viewpoints contradictory? If the market is going to go up significantly, why talk of a collapse? And if there will be a big collapse, why boast of the upside?
