But first: Which sectors were worst affected?

Answer: The ones most dependent on cash - real estate, microfinance, consumer durables, etc.

So it's safe to assume that stocks in these sectors would have crashed post 8 November 2016, right?

Yes, they did.

Within a few days, strong consumer names like Whirlpool, Crompton Greaves Consumer, Nilkamal, Blue Star, Titan, and PC Jeweller fell between 20-30%. The big real estate players, Indiabulls, Oberoi, and DLF fell between 25-30%.
