Is there likely to be a capex recovery in the US?
Most analysts and economists had opined that a US recovery this time would be different because it would be aided by huge capex spending. Something that was missing for quite some time now. So far, they have been proven wrong because capex has failed to really take off. The recovery, if any, is a false one largely driven by the US Fed's distorted and loose monetary policies. 2014: Bull or Bear?

Investors would have to be cautious about both the possibilities and would have to tread carefully in 2014. (SafeHaven)

And not to mention, one should not undermine the power of compounding when using this style of investing. The author of this article explains his experience with dividend stocks and how he changed his perception about dividend stocks after seeing results in few short years. (GuruFocus)
