Liquid funds – Quick and easy

Investors looking for a quick entry and exit option in their investments can look at liquid funds, which have given superior returns to bank deposits.

Liquid funds can in invest in debentures, bonds, call money and government securities. Their biggest attraction is that investors can exit very easily. It is mostly used as an investment avenue for corporates and high-networth individuals to park their funds.

As the table above indicates, 3 out of 5 liquid funds in our sample gave returns in excess of 12.0% (for 12 months), which is good deal higher than bank deposits (for 12 months), which offer a maximum of 10.5%.
