Discover the Potential of New Technology Wealth in this Little-Known Drone Stock

It has been 12 years since the ghastly terror attack in Mumbai.

The horrific images of 26/11 are still present in our memories.

Dates like 9/11 (September 2001 attacks in the US) and 26/11 have, over the years, become synonymous with terror crimes.

And whenever foreign relations turn hostile, the fear of such terror attacks recurring, lingers.

India's border clashes with China began right at the start of 2020.

By February, the world was beginning to grapple with a completely unknown virus. The news media quickly shifted focus from the border disputes to coronavirus.

But among the Covid-19 related headlines, what caught my attention was news on counter-terrorism unit of National Security Guard (NSG).

The NSG was partnering with India's defence tech startups. Their objective was to find solutions against rogue autonomous drones including swarm of drones.

Now, its always easy for the Defence Ministry to import hi-tech weapons to counter acts of terrorism.

But this time it was looking to invest in 250 Indian startups in the defence technology space.

The plan was to develop 50 defence innovations over the next five years to prevent and counter terror attacks.

Needless to say, startups across areas like aerospace, aeronautics, robotics, and security solutions showed interest in collaborating with the Ministry.

Being self-reliant in defence technology has huge benefits for the Indian economy.

And like I wrote earlier, the scope of success of defence technologies is far higher than that of commercial ones.

Startups in this space, therefore, are of immense interest to me.

So, whenever I can, I try to dig deeper into their projects.

For instance, Bengaluru based Tonbo Imaging designs, builds and deploys advanced imaging and sensor systems.

Mumbai based, ideaForge, a branchild if IITians, has developed drones in collaboration with DRDO. Its clients are paramilitary and security forces, including National Disaster Response Force and Delhi Police.

Aadyah Aerospace develops electronic optic systems for missiles and launch vehicles.

India's borders are no longer secured with just electronic meshes. IoT and artificial intelligence (AI) play an important role. CRON Systems is a startup that is developing state-of-the-art intrusion detection systems.

There are dozens of such startups acting on pathbreaking technologies to fortify India's defence forces.

It will be years before they appear in mainstream media and probably a decade before investors and stock markets take interest in them.

Fortunately, there is another way to invest in few such startups without risking your money in unlisted companies or penny stocks.

You read that right!

My favourite bluechip defence company took a stake in one such promising defence startup in December 2019.

It's a little known drone company with immense potential.

In mid-2020 the safe bluechip increased its stake in the startup to a substantial figure.

To me there isn't a better way to bet on India's Drone Revolution than by indirectly buying such startups.
