Year-on-Year Performance:
  • The company's operating income during the quarter grew 11.7% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The expenses were up by 11.6% YoY during the same period.
  • The company's operating profit increased by 12.2% YoY during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins remained same and stood at 18.4% in 1QFY19.
  • Depreciation charges and finance costs increased by 12.9% YoY and 26.0% YoY, respectively.
  • Other income increased by 12.4% YoY during the quarter.
  • Net profit for the quarter increased by 4.7% YoY. Net profit margins during the quarter declined from 11.6% in 1QFY18 to 10.8% in 1QFY19.
Quarter-on-Quarter Performance:
  • The company's operating income during the quarter grew 6.5% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis. The expenses were up by 2.3% QoQ during the same period.
  • The company's operating profit increased by 51.3% QoQ during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins witnessed a growth and stood at 18.4% in 1QFY19 as against 13.0% in 4QFY18.
  • Net profit for the quarter increased by 191.0% QoQ, while net profit margins increased from 4.1% in 4QFY18 to 10.8% in 1QFY19.

CIPLA Share Price Performance

Over the last one year, CIPLA share price has moved up from Rs 548.9 to Rs 622.3, registering a Gain of Rs 73.4 or around 13.4%.
