Interim results exclude extraordinary / exceptional items
Year-on-Year Performance:
- The company's operating income during the quarter grew 9.1% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The expenses were up by 9.4% YoY during the same period.
- The company's operating profit increased by 7.7% YoY during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins remained same and stood at 18.6% in 4QFY19.
- Depreciation charges declined by 6.0% and finance costs declined by 27.7% YoY, respectively.
- Other income increased by 9.4% YoY during the quarter.
- Net profit for the quarter increased by 105.4% YoY. Net profit margins during the quarter increased from 8.5% in 4QFY18 to 16.1% in 4QFY19.
Quarter-on-Quarter Performance:
- The company's operating income during the quarter grew 4.5% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis. The expenses were up by 5.2% QoQ during the same period.
- The company's operating profit declined by 1.4% QoQ during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins witnessed a decline and stood at 18.6% in 4QFY19 as against 19.2% in 3QFY18.
- Net profit for the quarter increased by 55.5% QoQ, while net profit margins increased from 10.6% in 3QFY18 to 16.1% in 4QFY19.
